The Cottage Kitchen started life fourteen years ago from our kitchen table and has been based now for the last seven years in our fantastic kitchen in the heart of South Hams. We have just won six “Taste of The West Awards”, Gold for our Millionaire Slice and five bronze awards for our Apple and Cinnamon cake, Lemon Tart, Steak Pasty, Gluten Free Victoria Sandwich and Spiced Carrot Cake. In October 2011 we also won a Gold one star Great Taste Award from The Guild Of Fine Food for our Gluten free Carrot Cake. The gluten free range is a new addition to our kitchen this year .
A bit about us
We wanted to create a business were we make our cakes with passion using the very best in local produce. We pride ourselves on using those traditional methods of baking that we all remember as a child, a world away from mass production. We currently hold twenty six awards of which we have won over the last five years for many of our delicious cakes and tarts, so this year we were very happy to win so many.
Along side these scrummy creations we also make a yummy range of quiches and savouries. One of our best known secrets is that you can visit us any day of the week and place an order directly.
